Educational Program

Our educational program is based on recognized approaches that support your child’s overall development—emotional, social, cognitive, motor, and language skills—within a warm, safe, and stimulating environment.

HighScope

Children learn best when they are fully involved in the learning process.

HighScope Canada

"The HighScope research-based educational program is built on active learning, democratic interactions between adults and children, and an environment that encourages choice and the manipulation of materials. It values a child's engagement in their play and community within a stable, secure routine in partnership with the adult.

Multi-age Groups

If I am different from you, I do not harm you; I enrich you.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Multi-age grouping brings together children of various ages, fostering mutual support, respect, and development in a stable and secure environment.

Parent Involvement

Parents are the seed of the child and the soil in which they grow.

Martin Gray

Parents are invited to get involved in the children's daily lives by participating in various activities throughout the year.

School Transition

The start of the school year is the threshold of discovery; every new beginning is an opportunity to grow, learn, and reinvent oneself.

Taha-Hassine Ferhat

The transition to school is a key milestone for both the child and their family. The CPE promotes a smooth transition through information sharing, the development of independence and emotional skills, tailored activities, and collaboration with professionals, ensuring that children approach school with confidence.

Library

Today, CPE Aux Mille Jeux is also a CPE of a Thousand Books.

Reading is dreaming with your eyes open.

Kerry Reichs

Over several years, CPE Aux Mille Jeux has carried out a project to set up a welcoming and well-stocked library in each of its facilities to foster a love of reading from early childhood. Today, more than 4,500 books are available to children, educators, and families, thanks to the commitment of the Book Committee and numerous volunteers.

Inclusion of Children with Disabilities

The Little Bees Program

The diversity of each makes the wealth of all.

Julos Beaucarne

Here, we guarantee the right to education and equality for every child by promoting respect, acceptance, sharing, and inclusion.

CPE Aux Mille Jeux reserves 9 spaces at its Tambourin facility for children (Little Bees) with suspected language disorders (dysphasia). These 'Little Bees' are between 2 and 5 years old and are also clients of the CMR. Each child is integrated into a regular group at the CPE that corresponds to their age and developmental level.

Nutrition

Healthy eating to grow up strong

The secret to living well: eat half, walk double, laugh triple, and love without measure.

Tibetan Proverb

Inspired by this proverb, the CPE places great importance on a healthy and balanced diet, which is essential to a child's overall development. Our menus prioritize variety, fresh fruits and vegetables (often locally sourced), whole grains, and both plant-based and animal proteins.

Meals are prepared on-site with care, limiting processed foods, salt, and added sugars. Each child is also provided with a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Communication

Inform, Exchange, and Support.

Every human group draws its strength from communication, mutual support, and solidarity toward a common goal: the fulfillment of each individual through a respect for differences.

Françoise Dolto

Administrative communications are sent via Dokmail.

Daily updates regarding the child's day are shared in the À Petits Pas communication log.

Educational discussions between parents and staff members are possible at any time, based on needs, and upon request.
