Library

Today, CPE Aux Mille Jeux is also a CPE of a Thousand Books.

With a book, I know where I'm going, I go where I want, and I even see the invisible.

A project that sparks the imagination

For several years, we had cherished the dream of having a library in each of our facilities. We all know the many benefits of introducing children to reading from a very young age.

In addition to enriching their vocabulary and stimulating their imagination, it is a special moment shared with an adult. We wanted to offer the children at our three facilities more than just a simple bookshelf in each room.

Our vision was clear: the library would be a warm, comfortable gathering place filled with books of all subjects, sizes, shapes, and colors to fuel our little ones’ imaginations.

Three libraries, one shared dream

Tambourin

A shared treasure

Today, the 202 children at CPE Aux Mille Jeux can travel through imaginary worlds rich in adventure, thanks to the 4,500 books available to them across our three libraries. Furthermore, our collections include hundreds of educational reference works accessible to both educators and parents of the CPE.

This project would not have been possible without the invaluable participation of the book committee: Janie Beauregard, Julie Desmarais, Isabelle Goyette, Isabelle Grenier, Annie Martin, Linda Plouffe, and Sheila Rose, as well as the many educators and parent volunteers who invested countless hours in this initiative. Thank you all for making this dream a reality and for allowing that reality to fuel the imagination of the children who share our daily lives.

Our book-sharing boxes

Our three little monsters first appeared in our locations in 2017, and today they need you. These book-sharing boxes for the children attending our CPE need to be kept stocked. So today, it’s time to feed them - drop off a book in the book box at your location.

The concept : Give a book, take a book.

The cost : Completely free.

The approach : No borrowing - it’s a permanent exchange and sharing system.

The goal : Fuel the imagination of our little monsters (Monsieur Biblio, Babalou and Livrosaure)!
